Tomorrow, my 4 year old cousin is having major surgery.
Poor little thing has had about a dozen surgeries since she was born.
She came into this world fighting for her life because of a kidney disorder.
The doctor who cared for her at birth did what he thought was best, but it has complicated things.
If he had done a different procedure, they could have just removed her bad kidney, but he went through the good kidney, so both are now affected.
She had a surgery a couple of months ago and they had hoped that it had solved the problem, but after an ultrasound last week, they determined that it did not.
Thursday she is undergoing a surgery that can last anywhere from 5 to 19 hours. Please pray for this little one and her family. I know they are all terrified for her.

Aw, she is way too young for all these surgeries. I will keep her, you and the family in my thoughts and prayers.
Oh my. It breaks my heart when I hear of any child in any sort of pain, I can't imagine what it is like for the parent's. We'll say a prayer that they get it right this time and she has a speedy recovery.
I will pray for your cousin! I hope she comes out of it unharmed and better than ever!
I hope she is ok, my eldest was born with kideny complications and I'm so thankful the right procedure was performed and he was fine after one op... poor girl.
I hope your cousin's surgery will be a success, I will keep her and your family in my prayers, may she be blessed with strength during the procedure, and everything will go fine afterwards.
It is too bad when anyone has to go through surgery like that. Especially when it is someone so young. We will pray that she (and the family) has the strength to deal with such a major procedure.
God bless you all.
I will definitely keep the little one in my thoughts. My youngest niece had over 25 surgeries from the time she was 6 months old until she was 5, so I feel your concern. Luckily mine is now thriving wonderfully. Good Luck to yours.
Praying!
Poor poor baby! Poor family! My heart breaks for you all.
All of my best wishes, best thoughts, strongest prayers go with her.
Oh dear, that is not okay, poor little thing! I'll say a prayer for sure.
So sorry to hear about your cousin. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
Sending her positive thoughts.
I am a bit late commenting.... hope the surgery was a success.
All the best.
This is so sad. We have a close friend who's dying of cancer (stage 4, metastatic), he's already paralyzed and still believes it's a neurological issue (they told him it's something with the spine and needs to be operated on, as soon as he gathers more strenght). He's 48 and thinks about getting back to work.
When I hear about babies struggling to live, it makes me even more close to tears. They really don't have anything to be blamed for, they are innocent and deserve to live.
please keep us posted on the outcome and we'll also pray for good news. It's enough pain already.
Hey Kelly, I pray your little cousin did okay with her surgery. That is so scary...
my thoughts are with her and her family
thoughts and prayers Xx
